The Meeting Ciutat de Barcelona has its own Web page

The International Athletic Meeting Ciutat de Barcelona has from today on its own web page. A month and a half before being held this important athletic event (19 July) which comes back to the international calendar its promotion will be greatly increased thanks to its Web site.  You can accede through the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (www.rfea.es).

This new media tool shows the great significance of getting the meeting back and, at the same time, gives people interested in this event all the necessary information they could need. The history of the competition which began in the Serrahima´s Stadium will be relived, interesting statistic data will be given such as the meeting's records, the stadium's records or the all comers perfomance (all nationalities included) got in Spain and, the 2008 meeting's edition is widely presented with detailed information on all its different aspects.

Videos , photographs and a file of all the technical results along the 13 times the meeting has been held show the great value of a web page that without any doubt will have a huge support from the public  interested in athletic events.

The Meeting Ciutat de Barcelona reappears after having had an eight years break thanks to the boost of The European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 which will also take place in the Montjuic Olympic Stadium. More than 250 athletes from all around the world will take part in the 18 scheduled competitions, amongst them there will be World and Olympic champions from the former years. Most of the Spanish athletes who are willing to get the standards qualifying to go to Beijing have confirmed their participation.
