Jordi Hereu has a meeting with the majors of the province to reaffirm their support to B10

Jordi Hereu, Major of Barcelona, will have a meeting with the majors of the cities of the province of Barcelona that have signed the collaboration agreement with the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 in order to solemnise the support all of these institutions give to the Championships. There will also be present the majors of the other three Catalan capitals of the province, as well as the President of the Barcelona Regional Council, Antoni Fogué. The Barcelona Regional Council has worked closely with the the city of Barcelona in the organisation of this significant event and it is one of the most active patrons in the Barcelona 2010 Organising Committee.
 
The ceremony will take place next June 25 at noon in the Palacete Albéniz. In total 57 municipalities are the ones that have made the commitment of supporting and promoting the event by means of an agreement signed with the Barcelona City Council. The agreement takes shape in the different promotional events in the respective municipalities and the possibility of their students or the kids who are participating in sport campus or summer camps can attend for free the morning sessions of Barcelona 2010.
 
In the event it will be shown for the very first time the last video the organisation of the Championships has produced, video that links typical athletic actions with daily life scenes. This production could be seen later in all the public presentations Barcelona 2010 carries out and it will be uploaded in the Championships web page (www.bcn2010.org).
 
The invitation of Barcelona's Major has been extended to the sports town coucillors of the different municipalities and to the sports councillors of the districts within the city of Barcelona.
 
Barcelona 2010 board of directors will be likewise present in the event, that will count on Barni, the mascot of Barcelona 2010, amongst its special guests.
