Event Location
Montjuic, which has successfully staged many other sporting events in Barcelona, will be the main venue for the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010, but not the only one. The track and field events will be held in the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic, but not those on the roads (marathon and walks) having their own course in the centre of the city.
There are also two training tracks, one in Nou Barris (Can Dragó) and the other in Diagonal Mar (Mar Bella) and these serve to give an understanding that the Championships are not being held exclusively in Montjuic.
To become more familiar with the characteristics of each one of these stadiums, and particularly their location, fans will have available the most up to date maps, which will inform them of their exact locations in Barcelona and it’s surrounding area.
