Barni shows off in la Cursa Popular de Bellavista

Barni, the mascot of the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010, has been present today in the 23rd edition of La cursa de Bellavista, which has been celebrated today early in the morning in Les Franqueses del Vallès along with the third Marxa Popular. This race is one of the great veterans in the Catalan route calendar organised by the AE Grup Fondistes Bellavista in collaboration with the Patronat Municipal d´Esports del Ajuntament de Les Franqueses

Simultaneously with the race, it has taken place the Marxa Popular which does not have any finishing line control and which admits all of the fans who simply want to stretch out their legs. The finish line was placed in the Plaza Mayor de/ Bellavista de Les Franqueses. The winners of the race have been Abdeslam El Ouahabi y Esperanza Zuriguel.

Barcelona 2010 has taken advantage of the event to make people to know the project and to stretch out the promotion it has been doing in the popular races that are celebrated all around Catalonia.
