The Joan Serrahima's Stadium will be the venue of the EuroGames Barcelona 2008' athletics competitions from tomorrow Friday on. These competitions are going to be held in Barcelona after eleven editions. The Serrahima, warming up stadium for throwers in the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010, will be the main setting for this very special competition that will gather in Barcelona more than 5,000 people amongst participants, officials and accompanying people.
 
This sports competition will be celebrated after a day used for deep thinking. Today, it has been celebrated in the Instituo de Educació Física de Catalunya (INEFC) what is very close to the Serrahima's Stadium the International Conference on  Human Rights and Homophobia. This conference aims to show those situations in which many LGTB people are discriminated and stigmatised in different places all around the world.
 
The opening ceremony of the EuroGames Barcelona 2008 will take place today, 24 July at 9:00 P.M in the Palau Sant Jordi and it will be presented by Àngel Llàcer.
