Monica Barra is sure Barcelona 2010 will pass next year with very good marks

"We are convinced Barcelona 2010 will pass next year with honours", has declared Monica Barra this morning in the programme "El dia a la COM" directed by Jordi Duran. The General Coordinator of B10 has been very pleased with the work of the organisation and she considers the good image the city will leave after the Championships will favour the setting up of new projects that will keep the line marked by Barcelona's City Council in order to give an impulse to Barcelona's image and to get an international place by means of the organisation of  very important competitions.
 
At a little bit more than one year for the beginning of Barcelona 2010 -"time flies so fast and it does not give us any chance for contemplations"-, Barra has looked through the point the organisation is at right now and she has emphasised the promotional campaigns which try to bring athletics closer to the streets and to make it perfectly understandable", on the ticket sales phase that will begin after summer time, on the innovative aspect of the event and on the legacy that will leave "visible, especially the refurbishment of the main sport facilities used for athletics which are in the city".
 
Barcelona 2010 will live a great day next June 25 when the 57 majors from the municipalities of the province of Barcelona who have signed the collaboration agreement to promote the Championships meet in the Palacete Albeniz.. Jordi Hereu, Major of Barcelona, and Antoni Fogué, President of the Barcelona Regional Council, will be the hosts in the solemn event.
