The informative sessions for the volunteers of Barcelona 2010 begin

From today on and along this whole week the Volunteer department of the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 is organising informative sessions for all those people who, through the web page www.bcn2010.org, have confirmed their wish of participating as volunteers. The sessions will last until July 4th. There have been foreseen two sessions a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, in which there will be explained basic matters on the way this event functions.

The auditorium of the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys is the venue to explain the key points of the Championships. For example, what it is and what it is about and also what the test event calendar will bein addition to some other very important ones as the rights and duties the volunteers have.This morning's first session has been used as well to make some photographs of the attending people in order to begin organising everything related to the accreditation process.
 
These sessions are a complement for the basic training that since a couple of months ago has been carried out on line. The specific one that has been planned for the second phase of the training will take place at the beginning of next year. However, due to the proximity of the celebration of the two test events of this summer, there will be an specific training exclusively focused on the Míting Ciutat de Barcelona (July 25) and on the Spanish Championships (August 1-2).
