Barcelona 2010 increases the promotion of the event in Spain

The promotion of the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 has been increased because right now, there is more activity in the athletics season, specially face to the Spanish National Championships, which is going to be celebrated in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is going to take place in this city for the very first time along the 88 years it has been celebrated.
 
As it has been done before with the Mascot's voting campaing -already finished and waiting to know the winner design- representatives from Barcelona 2010 will go to Tenerife next 25 July to take advantage of the Championships in order to promote the event amongst the Canarian fans and also amongst those peninsular fans who go there to attend the event.
 
At least four banners of Barcelona 2010 will be seen around the stadium of the Centro Peninsular de Tenerife, placed in the Tincer, southeast Santa Cruz. Leaflets, promotional material and merchandising stuff will be handed out to the public attending the competitions.
 
The National Championships, that has a great interest in closing the list of athletes who will go to the Olympic Games of Beijing, will be held this coming weekend (26 and 27 July).
