Martín Fiz will accompany Alexandra Panayotou in her arrival in Vitoria

Martín Fiz, World champion in Marathon in 1995, Príncipe de Asturias Prize and currently ambassador of Barcelona 2010, will run with Alexandra Panayotou in the last part of Sunday's leg  in the challenge of this Greek ultramarathon runner who is promoting Barcelona 2010. Taking advantage of the end of this leg that finishes in Vitoria, city in which this famous Spanish athlete lives, Panayotou will find the best/ of the companies in her last kilometres.
 
Martin Fiz is one of the nine ambassadors of the European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 and at present he is still competing in popular races in which he especially he helps the organisers to get the attention of new runners and to spread the excellencies of running.
 
After Sunday's leg in Vitoria, the Greek long distance runner resident in Barcelona will start her way back to the Mediterranean Sea. Tomorrow Saturday she will reach the equator of her enormous challenge while getting the 1.000km already run. Her arrival in Barcelona has been foreseen for July 6.
